Privacy policy.

Last updated: 12 October 2026

Rainmate is built on a simple principle: we never ask for client information. This policy explains what limited information we do collect through this website, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

Rainmate (“Rainmate,” “we,” “us”) provides growth intelligence for lawyers, built from publicly available information. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

What we collect

Information you give us. When you apply for founding access or request an Opportunity Brief, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, work email, firm, city, practice area and the type of request. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to include.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting and security provider processes basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels on this site.

What we do not collect. We do not ask for, and you should not send us, client names, matter details or any confidential or privileged information.

How we use it

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Service providers

We use a small number of trusted providers to run this site, who process information only on our behalf:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger, financing or sale of our business, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.

Where your information is processed

Our team and service providers may process information in the United States, India and other countries. Where we transfer information internationally, we take reasonable steps to keep it protected in line with this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep application and contact information for as long as needed to respond to you and manage our relationship, and delete it when it is no longer needed or when you ask us to, unless we must keep it for legal reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live, including California, the EU, the UK and India, you may have additional rights under local law. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to keep what you share with us safe.

Children

Rainmate is a professional service for lawyers and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Rainmate grows. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we will let founding partners know directly.

Questions about privacy? Email [email protected] and we will get back to you.
